The Orange Bird Song ist ein Song aus der Disneyland Records-Langspielplatte The Story and Songs of the Orange Bird (1971). Er wurde von den Sherman Brothers komponiert, von Anita Bryant und den Mike Sammes Singers gesungen und der Text stammt ebenfalls von den Sherman Brothers. Im Hörspiel bietet dieses Lied den Titelsong, welcher dem Zuhörer die Hauptfigur Orange Bird vorstellt.

Hintergrund und Auftritte in anderen Medien

Die Lieder „The Orange Bird Song“ und „Orange Tree“ wurden auch unter der Anleitung von Richard Sherman von den MeloD23 Singers zur Rückkehr des Orange Birds in die Disneyparks am 17. April 2012 gesungen.

Trivia

Anita Bryant sang schon vorher vom „Sunshine Tree“, welches der Werbejingle der „Florida Citrus Commission“ war.

Ein künstlicher Sunshine Tree mit einem Orange Bird wurde auf der Rückseite der Sunshine Tree Terrace gebaut.
